Hello again

Just a quick update from SYM towers on where we are at. Reviews are coming in thick and fast, so we’ll be good to go for Monday.

So what can you look forward to? Well, we have reviews of films which include:

– A claim to the scariest movie monster ever made

– A straight-to-TV feature, which stars two of Hollywood’s hottest properties

– A documentary about a 1970s free love commune

– A fish/reptile monster

– A film about fishing in remote Scotland.

Hi there. Thanks for visiting Sod Your Multiplex, a movie website which shies away from the IMAXes and 3Ds of this world.

Instead, you’ll find us down a cosy independent cinema, at home watching a long-forgotten classic or, most likely, sieving through the straight-to-DVD bin in ASDA. And why? To review the movies that didn’t quite make it to the Multiplex or have been neglected through the passage of time. Everything deserves a voice, right?

Hopefully, this site will help you discover films that you had never heard of before. Maybe we’ll start new relationships as people bond over old movies. Maybe we’ll end some. Either way, if you like film and want to discover something new that you won’t see at the big screens, then please stick around.

We’re still a work in progress at the moment, but rest assured, we’ll be up and running properly soon.
